The house at Langholtsvegur 1 was built in 1998, in a classic Icelandic style. The house is a two-storey, corrugated-iron-clad, wooden house, with excellent views to the mountains and to the sea.The guest bedrooms are on the second floor of the house. There is also a bathroom with a shower and a lounge, from which there is a spacious balcony with views to the north. The view from the balcony is very good, with Mt. Esja, which is known as the “mountain of the people of Reykjavik” and Viðey, which is a small island in the bay to the north of the city. There, the Yoko Ono peace column can be found amongst other things. A ferry takes tourists to the island regularly, all year round. On the ground floor is a well-equipped common kitchen, where visitors have their own space in a common refrigerator, as well as the use of all equipment and utensils available. On the ground floor is a second bathroom with a shower. At the south end of the house is a spacious terrace. There are tables, chairs and a grill for use by guests. It is important not to forget the garage, as this is where all the bikes that our guests use are stored.
